ASIAN BANK is a digital bank currently providing financial services for Japanese clients over the globe. The customers of the ASIAN BANK are modern, tech-savvy, and financially discerning individuals who are ready to embrace emerging blockchain technologies and alternative financial assets.

Scenario

ASIAN BANK envisaged a way to enhance the adoption of cryptocurrencies by offering a seamless transition between digital assets and traditional fiat, currencies. The company aimed to create and launched a platform that could help the customers use their digital assets as a universal medium of exchange for goods and services.

Business Requirement

An advanced crypto card appealed to be the ideal solution to manage and spend digital assets. It acts like a regular credit/debit card but has an additional digital financial gateway for crypto spending. Platinum Q DAO Engineering team started to design a new prepaid MasterCard-like card with top-up options supporting the most popular cryptocurrencies. All the features should be available via an intuitive mobile application. The platform has to be user-friendly for newcomers of ASIAN BANK and provided simple, secure, and trusted KYC service.

The digital assets platform is supposed to have a prepaid card at the core, supported by an extremely secure mobile application. Moreover, the challenge was to find a card issuer and make an integration with API for managing customer card accounts.

Besides, it was vital to integrate the mobile application with a KYC service provider for verification of customers’ information.

Solution

The expert team at Platinum Q DAO Engineering developed a cross-platform mobile application, using industry-leading UI|UX standards and latest technologies. The Platinum Q DAO Engineering team made three iterations for prototyping UI and found the best solution for the client. The mobile application was developed by using React Native tech stack for iOS and Android devices.

Platinum Q DAO Engineering developers also made a bunch of integrations with third-party APIs for KYC service and managing cards and assets.

The mobile application has been tested on a limited number of users with Apple TestFlight and Google Early Preview Programs for improving quality through feedback assessment and analysis, before going live. The app was published on Google Play and Apple App Store.

  • Top-up option – The supporting crypto card account can be topped up with supported cryptocurrencies. There is an option of generating crypto addresses with QR code.
  • Easy asset transfer – Options to transfer money via card number or email address.
  • Comprehensive customer profile options – A wide range of customer profile settings such as changing passwords, email, phone number, two-factor authorization, changing PIN code for the card, etc are available from the first application launch. Biometric authorization – Basic features to keep assets safely and securely, using modern technology like Touch ID and Face ID.
  • Fast and effective customer support – Multiple channels for customer support via special request form and LINE chat integration.
